Built by a futures trader

One platform, not four

Most traders rent a heatmap from one vendor, a footprint from another, charting from a third and a ladder from a fourth — to read one market. Chartveil was built the other way round, by someone who got tired of paying four bills for one tape.

Edges come from all sorts of places, so take as much or as little of the tape as your method actually calls for. Everything above is in the one subscription.

One tape

Every panel reads the same instant

The heatmap, the footprint, the ladder and the profile all read one shared tape. They cannot disagree about what just happened in the book. And one replay clock scrubs all four at once.

The toolset

Four ways to see what the candle hides

Each panel answers a different question about the same moment. Together they are the order-flow desk. On their own, each one is a complete tool.

01 / Liquidity

Liquidity heatmap

Resting orders only, painted per tick. Every price level gets its own band — dark is thin, bright is thick — so walls build and pull in front of you instead of vanishing into an aggregated blob.

  • One column per snapshot, newest on the right
  • Pulled walls fade as they leave the window
  • Size floor hides the 1–10 contracts churn that fills the book all day
  • Auto-contrast keeps the ramp spent on liquidity that can actually stop price
  • Hover any level to read the resting order sitting there
Liquidity heatmap in detail →

02 / Veil Print

Veil Print

A footprint that counts executed trades and nothing else. Most feeds reuse the same message for volume and VWAP updates, and naive tape readers count those as trades — the footprint filters them out on arrival, so your bid×ask numbers are real fills.

  • Bid × ask volume per price, per bar
  • Aggressor delta and imbalance highlighting
  • No phantom prints from snapshot or VWAP messages
Veil Print in detail →

03 / Depth

Advanced DOM

The live market-by-order ladder, printing every visible level as “biggest × total” — so you can tell one 200-contract order from forty 5-contract orders standing at the same price.

  • Bid and ask sides, biggest level per side boxed
  • Rows decimate by size when depth gets dense
  • Big single trades bubble onto the chart with their contract count
Advanced DOM in detail →

04 / Context

Delta & volume profiles

Draw a profile over any range and ask not how much traded, but who was aggressive there. Volume, bid/ask, delta and delta-plus-total profiles, with tick-precise VAH, VAL and POC.

  • Anchors itself as the session develops
  • Session, composite and drawn-range profiles
  • TPO letter profiles for the classic view

Studies of our own

Twelve studies, every one included

Built for index futures. Every one runs on the same raw tick history as the charts, and every one is in the subscription — nothing here is sold as an add-on.

01

VEIL Print

The footprint — executed trades only, bid × ask per price, per bar, with imbalance lit on the dominant side.

Included
02

VEIL Delta & CVD

Aggressor delta per bar and cumulative across the session, from the same filtered prints.

Included
03

VEIL Trades

Big single prints, drawn on the price they hit and sized by contract count.

Included
04

VEIL Grouped Trades

One bubble per order — a sweep across several prices folded back into the order that caused it.

Included
05

VEIL Profile

Volume, delta and TPO letters over any range, with tick-precise VAH, VAL and POC.

Included
06

VEIL Depth

Resting size drawn on the chart itself, so the book reads without a second window.

Included
07

VEIL GEX

Dealer gamma exposure by strike, the zero-gamma level and the call and put walls, mapped onto the levels you trade.

Included
08

VEIL Economic Events

The day’s releases marked on the time axis, from a schedule the terminal maintains itself.

Included
09

SMT divergence

NQ read against ES: the divergences where one index fails to confirm the other, flagged as they form.

Included
10

ADR levels

Average daily range projected onto the session, so the day’s likely extent is on the chart before it trades.

Included
11

VWAP with deviation bands

Session and anchored VWAP families with their standard-deviation bands.

Included
12

The classics

Moving averages, Bollinger, RSI, MACD, Stochastic and ATR, in their own panes or on the chart.

Included

Every study runs on time, range, volume and tick bars alike, because all four are built from the same stored ticks rather than resampled from one another.

Everything in the box

Eleven tools, one subscription

Every one of them ships today. Deep-history backtesting is being built, and lands in the same subscription at no extra cost.

Included

Chart platform

Time, range, volume and tick bars, all built from the same raw tick history. Drawings, multi-window workspaces, a command centre to launch from, and one replay clock for every chart.

Your account, your firm, your rules

Trade from the chart and the ladder on the account you already have. Chartveil is the interface, not the counterparty — orders go to your broker or prop firm, and P&L reads back from them. A built-in simulator runs the same entries on live data first.

  • Chart and ladder ordersBrackets, OCO stops and targets, and sizing by risk rather than by contract count.
  • Risk managerA daily loss limit that flattens the account when it is hit and locks trading until the next session — a rule, not a reminder.
  • Trade copierOne leader, every follower — for traders running several funded accounts at once.
  • Automatic journalEvery fill recorded on its own, live and simulator, netted into round trips with the calendar, the curve and the stats.
  • Strategy Studio and Auto TraderCode a strategy in sandboxed Python, backtest it on the chart, then let it trade its own signals on the simulator or your account — with a kill switch one click away.

Chartveil is for you if
  • You trade NQ or ES on a Rithmic-connected broker or prop-firm account
  • You want the heatmap, footprint, ladder and profiles reading one tape in one window
  • You run funded accounts and want the risk manager, copier and journal without add-ons
  • You would rather pay one bill for the whole desk than four for its parts
  • You want to code your own indicators and strategies, and let them trade on the simulator before an account
  • You trade from a Windows desktop
Look elsewhere for now if
  • You need equities, options or crypto feeds today — they are planned, not shipped
  • You need macOS or a browser version today
  • You want a no-code strategy builder — the Studio is Python, a few lines at a time
  • You want the largest add-on marketplace and the longest list of tutorials
  • You need a support team on call around the clock — Chartveil is built and supported by one trader

Worth saying plainly, because you are about to spend money: the established platforms have longer track records and bigger communities. Chartveil’s argument is depth on index futures, one tape, one subscription — shipping today as v0.9.10, with the changelog to prove it.

Before you ask

Questions

Do I need my own data account?

The Rithmic connection is built into Chartveil, but we do not provide market data. You sign in with the Rithmic data credentials your prop firm or broker issues — Apex and Lucid among others. All you have to ask them for is Level 2; the Rithmic connection carries the market-by-order side from there. Market data fees are billed by your broker, not by us.

Is there a free trial?

Not at the moment. The monthly plan starts at a flat $50 for the first month, you can cancel at any time from the billing portal so there is never a second charge you did not choose, and the system requirements and risk disclosure are published in advance so you can check them before you subscribe.

Does it place trades?

Yes — you trade from the chart and the DOM ladder on your own account, with the prop firm or broker you already have. Chartveil is the interface, not the counterparty: orders go into your account, positions and P&L read back from your firm, and a built-in simulator lets you practise the same entries on live data first. Check your firm allows third-party execution platforms before relying on it.

Which instruments are supported?

It is built and tuned for the CME index futures — NQ and ES — including the explicit quarterly contracts. It is deliberately not a do-everything platform; the depth of the order-flow tooling is the trade-off for that focus.

What are the system requirements?

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). 8 GB to 16 GB of RAM is recommended — toward 16 GB if you run several heatmap windows alongside charts. A wired connection is strongly advised — market-by-order is a heavy stream.

Which platforms does it run on?

The desktop terminal runs natively on Windows — a native build is what lets it render per-tick depth at full frame rate. macOS, web and iOS are in development and are not in the current release. Your subscription covers every platform as each one ships — see the help center for where they stand.

Will this make me profitable?

No software can promise that, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something worse than software. These are instruments for reading order flow — they show you what the book is doing. What you do with that is your edge to build, and futures trading carries substantial risk of loss.
